Millennium Fellowship Project: THE CODER FACTORY
A group of like-minded service-oriented undergraduate students who not only curate content but also mentor underprivileged students in niche topics such as computer programming and other important technical as well as soft skills by intuitive learning. Through this, we aim to enhance their skills as well as increase their job opportunities among the underpriveleged in the future which helps curb a lot of social issues like child labor, poverty, child marriage, etc. This project not only promotes peer-to-peer learning but also encourages these students to familiarise themselves with tech-based concepts in this fast-growing digital world!
About the Millennium Fellow
Keerthi Raghavendra is an enthusiastic 20-year-old studying Engineering at PES University with a major in Computer Science. She is very passionate about social service and technology. What started as a mere interest in contributing to a society transformed into her founding a club called "The Coder Factory". This club teaches the essence of coding and technology to underprivileged students by undergraduate students of PES University. She heads a group of 80 exceptional members who curate and mentor students in technical concepts such as cryptography, Artificial Intelligence, Web Technology, Google Sheets, and Tally to name a few. She is also an exceptional leader and has a keen interest in understanding the nuances between technology and business. Keerthi is also an exceptional singer and a core member of the Theatre Group in college. She makes people around her laugh with her quick sense of humor - Improv Comedy, as well as performs stage plays.
