" Most schools in developing nations of India and Africa do not have the infrastructure to encourage STEM education at the middle school level. Being a Millennium Fellow will give me the access and exposure to take this idea across India and beyond. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Enable the Teachers

This project aims at improving the quality of STEM education in India while making it fun. STEM teaching in India for middle schoolers is mainly theoretical. This situation is relevant for schools, in both rural and urban areas. There are no tools for teachers to explain the concepts in physics and chemistry lessons to their students. Innovative teachers may find ways to rig-up practical demonstrations of various theoretical concepts. This idea is about creating a teachers' kit, each for physics and chemistry subjects for grades 5 and 6. A kit is given to each teacher to explain the concept efficiently.
