" Growing up at the US-México border, making a difference in my community while addressing immigration policy at a greater level is a real privilege. With the right guidance, being a Millennium Fellow will allow me to translate acquired knowledge into practical steps toward a better, humane immigration policy. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Caught in the Middle: Analyzing the Impact of Migration Policy at the San Diego-Tijuana Border
Caught in the Middle is a project that aims to analyze and understand the causes and effects of the current US immigration policy toward México and Latin America. Both quantitave and qualitative data will be collected to compile a comprehensive picture of the immigrant situation at the San Diego-Tijuana border. Additionally, our cohort strives to formulate feasible alternatives and solutions to the humanitarian and sociopolitical problems arising due to the migration flow in the region.
