Millennium Fellowship Project: Mikhuna
Mikhuna is livestock’s food created from the dehydration of organic waste that comes from greengrocery. It’s a nutritious aliment with a long lifespan. This product offers a new alternative to the lack of food originated by the huge droughts of our country.
About the Millennium Fellow
Scarleth Solange Araya Eriz is a competitive and bright Chemical Engineering student at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She was born in a small town in north of Chile. She grew up watching the ravages of the drought, today his city has been in drought for 13 years. The ravines are the only reminder that in his city there were rivers
In his second year in the university, she took a course called “Investigation, innovation and entrepreneurship” the theme of the course was climate change. That’s where his love for innovation began and she learned that innovation could make big changes.
She has organized various projects focused on achieving sustainable communities and the sustainable consumption of resources.
Scarleth aspires to be an agent of change and to be able to contribute in the development of the United Nation’s Sustainable Goals.
