" Being part of the Millennium Fellowship will help me improve my soft skills to create a social impact not only in my university but also in my community. Besides living with other students, it will help me to know different points of view to improve my projects. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Maintaining culture/Manteniendo la cultura

The project consists of teaching both English and Quechua to boys and girls from rural populations, specifically in Muzga, because Quechua will help them to continue maintaining the culture they have, and that So don't get lost and English will help you for your future and that of your family. At the same time, general workshops such as crafts, knitting and public speaking are offered so that they can develop other skills.

About the Millennium Fellow

Valeria Piscoya Isidro is a sociable and curious person. Valeria is a psychology student at PUCP. She's 18 years old and she lives in Carabayllo with her parents. Since she was a child she has liked to help people, a feeling that grew when her parents told her about their life experiences and she visited her mother's place of residence. This helped her to research problems and create possible solutions. Valeria hopes in the future to become a great psychologist who can not only help people take care of their mental health, but also create philanthropic projects for her community.
