" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I will have the ability to hear a variety of perspectives from Pace students, students from across the globe, and impactful leaders. The Millennium Fellowship will allow me to kickstart a sustainability project that I am passionate about while working closely with Pace staff and faculty mentors. This Fellowship will teaching me necessary steps to create effective and long-lasting change that will help prepare me for the work I want to pursue upon graduating college. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Pace Period Poverty

Pace Period Poverty is a student led initiative at Pace University advancing the United Nations' 10th Sustainable Development Goal: Reduce inequalities within and among countries. Lack of access to menstrual products, menstrual hygiene education and waste management perpetuates inequalities by hindering menstruating people's academic success and well-being. Through educational campaigns that raise awareness of this issue and a menstrual product drive that increases access, we hope to increase opportunities for all menstruators and tackle injustice.

About the Millennium Fellow

Danielle Harari is a junior at Pace University working towards completing a Bachelor of Science with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Peace and Justice Studies. She remains actively aware of the human rights abuses, and possesses a strong desire to apply nonviolent tactics to dismantle them. Today, she is working towards finding ways in which we can collectively end period poverty (lack of menstrual products) at Pace University.
