" "As a firm believer that mental health plays a key role in our lives, bringing awareness about its importance to our youth is necessary. No one should be ashamed of it and I am willing to remove that stigma from our society. Our mental health is a priority ,our happiness is an essential and that's what I strive to achieve." "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Always There For You

Mental health is a topic that has been primarily neglected in schools and other academic institutions. People aren't aware of the impact mental health can have on their day-to-day routines, their relationships with others, and their overall stability. As an effect of the ongoing pandemic, many people, especially students have faced various mental health issues but are unsure about how to handle them due to the stigma and lack of knowledge surrounding the topic.
Our group thinks it is of utmost importance that mental health awareness is provided to students as early as pre-teens. “Always There For You” is an initiative that serves as a platform for mental health awareness. We plan to conduct a series of activities such as mental health tests, talks by certified psychologists, one on one sessions, and other stimulating exercises to help spread knowledge and awareness.
“Always There For You” aims at helping tweens identify and understand their symptoms, find the right treatment, and most importantly, break the stigma around mental health.
