" The driving force behind my work is the ground level realities of a developing country like India. I believe our country although is territorially independent, it is still within the clutches of class difference, underprivilege and social evils. Having evolved enough to get away with several of these evils, we are capable to make a change globally. The Millennium Fellowship will help to add validation and authentication to my projects and thus considerably increase its social impact. The fact that our programs are going to be aligned with UNAI and SDGs will allow us to link our agenda with global causes. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: CHAITANYA

Our project basically aims to formulate a platform, where both privileged and marginalised children will be informed of their rights. The program would be to make them aware of their basic fundamental rights, which would eventually help them become responsible citizens. It is like a social awareness and empowerment project. Most children in india are not aware of the rights against the atrocities committed against them. I believe the best route to reach and solve a child's problem is through their mother's. Therefore, we also aim to spread our support for women empowerment, particularly reaching out to domestically and socially abused women. India is a country having a huge population with a distinctly marked boundary between the rich and the poor. This gap marks the beginning of several atrocities against women and children. And the ultimate aim is to empower them to create a better world for themselves. Thus, our project is best described as CHAITANYA, which means Awareness and consciousness. In the course of our project we will grant legal aid, knowledge aid and financial aid.
