Millennium Fellowship Project: Segregation at Source

Firstly, We are introducing a segregated dustbin management system. In the segregated dustbin management system that there are certain items that are not bio-degradable in nature but can be reused or recycled. Through the different dustbins, we can categorize the waste like non-biodegradable can be further segregated into recyclable waste like Plastic.

This we will be doing by connecting the institutions based in Delhi NCR like Offices and Colleges with a recycling organization to recycle the waste.

We will be conducting sessions for teaching the appropriate use of the waste segregating system and the need for recycling for sustainable development.

All these steps would be first carried out at our college and then we will conduct them in places like offices and schools in Delhi NCR. Currently, we are already collecting dry recyclable plastic and e-waste from our campus weekly and sending it to a recycler based in Noida.
