" "It is rightly said that potential is a priceless treasure, like gold. All of us have gold within, but we have to dig to get it out. Potential doesn't discriminate amongst humans, then why is it regarded that girls have less potential. I believe that everyone possess the same potential then there should be no difference in the resources provided to both men and women and in order to be impartial right mentorship and efforts will give fruitful results." Millennium Fellowship Project: CHAITANYA

Project CHAITANYA was started by taking in mind the attitude of the society towards gender equality. As in our country India, women are being worshipped but at the same time they are also the victim of violence this showcases a hypocrytic attitude. When we see these acts of violence or the discrimination that women suffer even in the twenty first century is saddening. So, we thought of why shouldn't we empower women and let them know their rights but why only women need to know about this why not everybody and for doing the same, we started conducting sessions with children, adolescent girls and women because a change can be brought if we from the start, we as a society and we as an individual make small changes to our thinking then definitely there will come a day when there would be no need to educate people about gender equality.
We conduct different sessions with different group of people to let them know about gender equality. Like if there are a group of children who come from the marginalised part of the society, we conducted a session on child rights which included gender equality as well and inculcating the value of equality amongst all the genders. Also, when there is a group of adolescent girls or women sessions are conducted pertaining to women empowerment and talk about the issues which they face and help them out in every way possible.
