Millennium Fellowship Project: Lucky Foundation
The name Lucky comes from my late dog, who passed away due to the loopholes in India's animal healthcare system. Besides starvation and dehydration, they are also the victims of human cruelty. Various veterinary malpractices cases have led several animals to lose their lives. Veterinary hospitals in India are usually not fully equipped. Numerous animals requiring immediate medical attention have breathed their last due to a lack of proper medical facilities like vet ventilators, fully functioning operation theatres, x-ray machines, etc. Many villages in India still lacked basic testing facilities and required infrastructure. We strive to change the lives of the unspeakable and inexpressible injured street animals—public education to reduce abuse and promote fostering and adoption. Lucky Foundation, my brainchild, would first begin its journey by spreading awareness about these problems through social media platforms, followed by daily operations of feeding stray animals and providing them with proper healthcare facilities. The aim of Lucky Foundation includes finding homes for Indian animals, placing abandoned pets into loving homes, mass sterilizations of stray animals in different zones across India, better medical care and raising awareness of our cause.
