Millennium Fellowship Project: The Padhai Project
The average enrollment in Indian Primary Education in 2020 was 99.9 %. For comparison, the world average in 2020 based on 68 countries was 103.46%. While the education enrollment is still considerably high. And what Indian students lack majorly is skills and focus on hobbies too.
The Padhai Project plans to address this problem by identifying the solution by conducting workshops improving students' soft skills like extracurricular activities and hobbies and giving them exposure to non-mainstream fields (this is the exposure they don't get in academics). We plan to work with institutions and organizations that house underprivileged kids mostly 1st to 4th grade and industry experts who will conduct these classes for the children.
Our workshops will be based on practical classes and will be professionally handled. Career guidance for outgoing students in 10th and 12th grades is also something we intend to provide the students.
About the Millennium Fellow
Medha Maji is a Second year Media student. She is pursuing her bachelor's degree in Media Communication from Symbiosis Center for Media and Communication, Pune in India. Medha is very good at Communication skills, problem solving skills , public speaking and interaction. She is always keen to meet new peole and open to learning. Overall she does her work sincerely and with great responsibility
