" Ever since I heard about the Millennial Fellowship I have wanted to be a part of it, purely because of the kind of exposure I would get. It would be blessing to observe and learn from other like minded individuals and to gain the skills I would need to help be a part of an eco friendly India. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Bleed Green

Menstrual Education is lacking in many parts of India and due to a very large economic gap in society those who are aware of menstrual health, to whatever extend it may be, are least bothered about the sustainability of the products they use. I want to promote and encourage the use of sustainable menstrual products.

About the Millennium Fellow

Alina Jacob is a final year medical student at the prestigious St.Johns Medical College, India. Originally settled in Australia, she moved to India to pursue a career in medicine. She is a firm believer in ecological sustainability and has always been passionate about making a change in the world, especially in rural areas of India. Having witnessed the medical inaccessibility in many areas of rural India, especially for women and children, she is eager to help be a part of the change. She has been taking classes and promoting Eco friendly menstrual hygiene products in various venues in hopes of contributing to a greener earth and upholding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
