" “Joining the Millennium Fellowship is the perfect opportunity for me to actually make a real difference ! It is a chance to promote a better access to culture through art, education to languages and to eco responsibly , while foster dialogues between all ages and socio-economic backgrounds” "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Murals of Tomorrow

My project aims to raise awareness of the socio-economic disparities in the world caused by global warming. It will focus on the thirteenth United Nations Sustainable Development Goal, "Climate Action", as well as the fourth goal, "Quality Education".
Indeed, our outreach activities will revolve around the themes of the environment and sustainable development, as they will raise awarness on the impacts of climate change on economic disparities around the world (focusing on extreme poverty and malnutrition).
Furthermore, they will address an audience from all socio-economic backgrounds, as working towards better education for all, is firstly a cornerstone for enabling and expanding access to awareness, and secondly, is the best way to address the roots of socio-economic inequalities.
Therefore it will simultaneously promote equal access to art and culture, as this project will implement art workshops and cooperative exhibitions, hence the name "murals" which evoke the sharing of a collaborative artistic activity. I sincerely believe that this is one of the best ways to transmit ideas and arouse the interest of all ages, by engaging in cooperative activities that will therefore foster dialogues and introduce a large public to these great questions of tomorrow. The objectives of my project are therefore to promote education on humanitarian issues such as environmental crisis and poverty through cooperative and artistic activities.

About the Millennium Fellow

Creative and dynamic, Sacha Bellin is a student at the institut d’études politiques de Paris, (Sciencespo). She was born in Ankara and after living in the Reunion Island, Switzerland, and Italy, she’s back in France to study in Le Havre, an asian focused program of political sciences. One can say that she is a true citizen of the world. After her experiences and encounters at “il Cibo del Povero” in Italy, she understood that her vocation was to help others and to fight for equal rights.
Passionate about culture, she seeks to promote it under three angles: language education, access to art and education in eco-responsibility.

She was often able to express this need through her volunteer experience in associations working to bring culture to isolated or even impeded audiences, as well as her involvement in the various student newspapers for which she was able to write.

She hopes to continue her dedication to social action throughout her college years by knowing how to combine the means at her disposal to promote her center of interest, such as through actions led by student clubs (like the artclub of which she is the captain). She hopes to carry out more philanthropic actions in the future, thanks to student initiatives and her participation in the Millennium scholarship.
