" I find the greatest fulfillment in making the quality of human lives better. There remains a great deal of opportunities for us all to become changemakers. Rather than giving into the fear that keeps you from starting, follow your curiosity and instincts. To lead change, you don't have to be an expert. All you need is a loving heart and an open mind. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Room to Learn

The Room to Learn Project is focused on helping vulnerable at-risk youth from elementary, middle, and high school with their education and professional development. To accelerate social change, especially in the face of a pandemic, there has to be a new approach to education to ensure every child is known, loved, and equipped to live their dream life. There can be numerous resources online, but how is a child expected to filter through that information? Here at Room to Learn, we design student-centered curriculums and mentoring opportunities that ignite at-risk youth to engage in a learning environment that will be personalized for them. Room to Learn continuously works to create innovative programs that meet the needs of students who do not feel they are getting the attention they need to succeed in a traditional learning environment. Our college volunteers will host different workshops and sessions either virtually or in-person in the Ewing area. This flexibility in hybrid format is maintained to remind students that we believe in them, we are ready to challenge them, and we will forever support them to become the people they want to become.
