" Health equity is a priority of mine, and I aim to apply my creativity and problem-solving skills to promote the health of under-resourced communities and populations throughout my career. It has been an honor to collaborate with my campus community and the Millennium Fellowship program to boost the health of the populations I serve and enhance my skills to continue doing so as a future physician. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: MY Tailored Image

Aisha works for a nonprofit organization called MY Project USA, which is located in the Hilltop area of Columbus, a community experiencing the challenges of low income and violence. MY Project USA has a variety of programs that Aisha has volunteered for, including a food pantry, tutoring program, and community garden. Aisha is now working to build the MY Tailored Image program, a workforce development initiative to provide professional clothing, advice, and resources for community members seeking employment. The goal of this program is to empower community members and break the cycle of intergenerational poverty.
