" I feel that everyone must choose whether or not they will be a person who will help heal the world or continue to hurt it. By collaborating with other Millienum Fellows, we will have the resources to address and improve the disparate resources available to minority youth within cycles of disenfranchisement. The Millennium Fellowship will help myself and other youth foster relationships with individuals of all backgrounds in order to provide equal opportunities to underprivileged groups. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Abinet Youth Alliance

By providing an extensive mentorship base with inspiring women across different fields and education levels, we can provide young first-generation women with guidance that helps them successfully progress through their high school career to eventually pursue the higher educaiton of their choice. The program allows for young women in as early as 8th grade, to connect with successful women in undergraduate and graduate school, and with women at varying levels in their professional career. The program will help young women with career preparation, college applications, and will also help them find opportunities for shadowing and even service within their community. There is a large immigrant community in Columbus so the goal is to connect at least 100 young women throughout the area.
