Millennium Fellowship Project: Community and General Health Advocacy/Awareness
My team conducted a survey and discovered that about 75% of people who are treated for a specific disease are reinfected with the same disease due to a lack of knowledge about the preventive measures to take to prevent exposure to such diseases.
To mitigate the cause of this threat to society, our project goal is to eliminate the lack of knowledge about health amongst individuals by conducting outreaches, public awareness, and sensitization campaigns in schools, communities, etc., as well as online through our social media handles
About the Millennium Fellow
Abraham Victor is an astute undergraduate of Medical Laboratory Science at Taraba State University, Jalingo. Currently, in my fourth year. I was born in Taraba State, Nigeria into a humble and conservative family of four siblings, whom resides in Nigeria as well.
I am a Passionate Health Enthusiast living with the mission of implementing the Sustainability Development Goals 3, which is to promote Good Health and Well-being of people in the planet. I am focus on advocacy geared towards Proper Health Care delivery and Health Education through Social Impact and engagement programs, volunteering, strengthening health systems and above all laboratory medicine.
My passion for volunteering is evident as I had and still engaged in Medical outreaches to communities in order to educate the populace on how paramount their Health contribute to their well-being. Currently, I am volunteering at Health Enthusiast Initiative, a Non-governmental initiative that is centered on Sustainable Development Goals 3. This Passion had transcend to organization of advocacy outreaches on Health and Well-being within and outside my Campus community.
As I vehemently desire to be a professional in my chosen Career, I continue to align my passion for impact with my field of study for a robust developmental change that will breed in an era of new perception as regards global Health and Well-being. Hence, in a way to contribute and advance the Nobel course of the development of the United Nations Sustainability Goals
