Millennium Fellowship Project: Maa Girl Empowerment

The Maa Girl Empowerment project took place in Narok County-Kenya.
For the 3 months of the program, I visited various schools both primary and secondary to talk to young girls about these topics.
• Health education; mental health, depression and anxiety
• Menstrual Hygiene with the help of local clinics.
• Drug and substance abuse.
• Early Pregnancies.
I also with the help of local authorities arranged for public barazas to talk about early child marriages and FGM which has been the order of the day in the community. And reintegration of school drop-outs back to school either because of pregnancy or drugs.
