UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT NOEL MILLY KHASOWA, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2022.
Technical University of Kenya | Nairobi, Kenya | Advancing SDG 10 & UNAI 1
" Being a Millennium Fellow will provide me with a platform to work together with like minded youths to make a positive impact in our community and contribute to the realization of the SDGs. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Dialogue and Empowerment Forum
The Dialogue and Empowerment Forum is a physical and online educative, informative and interactive space for young people. The forum will draw youth with various interests within campus, to discuss socio-political and economic dynamics in the country and how they affect us. The forum will also champion for economic empowerment to fight poverty and inequalities through highlighting the various opportunities available to youths;
(scholarships, training and workshops, internships, grants e.t.c ) and encourage
members to seize them.
I envision that my project will positively impact 50 to 99 young people. The forum will mainly include my Fellow campus students at the Technical University of Kenya; most of whom I have interacted with during the course of my studies. I understand that despite the various opportunities available to the youth, most are not aware, while some are reluctant to seize them. The forum will spark conversations on political, social and economic dynamics in the international system; to enable us share ideas and beneficial information.
