Millennium Fellowship Project: NCTSA Olk Subcounty Schools Mentorship programme
NCTSA Olk Subcounty schools Mentorship programme project mainly focuses on
quality education under SDG 4, in primary and secondary institutions within Ol Kalou
Constituency.It comprises of both youth leaders and teenage mentors who visits
schools to advice students on matters related to academic progress-importance of
education,cause and effects of truancy.Secondly, raises awareness on the cause of
Drugs abuse among students and possible panacea to curb this and Mental health
among students. The project will help in ensuring inclusive and equitable quality
education and promote life long learning opportunities for all.
About the Millennium Fellow
Priscillah Nganga is a 21-year old female student of Geospatial Engineering, born and raised in Kenya. She is an ambitious and passionate innovator and tech-preneur with skills in design thinking, marketing app development and robotics. She enjoys using her skills in innovating viable solutions that address various problems in her community such as access to healthcare and other social services.
Currently, she is the Operations Manager at Veezaviz, an upcoming tech-startup and social enterprise developing assistive technologies for Deaf people.
Priscillah is a team player and leader having engaged herself in various projects since high school revolving around innovation. Such challenges include Technovation (for Girls), FIRST Challenge for Robotics and Schneider Go Green. She is also a Zuhura Africa and Innovate Kenya STEM Camps Alumni. From these camps and challenges, she has gained awards and experiences in communication and innovation. She has also served as an Award Judge at FIRST Robotics and a STEM mentor for Young Scientists Kenya and ProGirls Nation in Kenyan schools.
Priscillah advocates for STEM Education and equal access to quality education. She also inspires young girls to take on STEM seeing as she was also inspired by other great women and mentors.
