" "The art of telling a good story is a challenge to be overcome. What more than having the right audience to share it? As a Millennium Fellow, I am thrilled to meet a massive number of my peers who are ready to listen to my story. At the same time earning a living from it to sustain life and inevitably share with them this dream of storytelling. Youths are the steel to the rail of change, without them, there is no speed to the bow." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Writing To Earning
Storytelling and writing are all intertwined with the creativity of an individual. In my project, we shall help struggling campus students earn a living. It will be by introducing them to freelance writing and coaching them on the pro tips to ensure they land top dollar clients on the different freelancing websites while also learning more about the different writing there is.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mwandoe Xavier Shali is a 2nd-year student at the Technical University of Kenya. He is pursuing a Quantity Surveying degree. He is motivated by storytelling as an art in the form of writing. He loves engaging with his peers to understand their common problems, ultimately a listening ear. He finds joy in the uniqueness of every individual who has benefited him by making friends with almost anyone he meets. He also understands the weakness of being human thus he strives to forgive anyone he crosses paths with.
