Millennium Fellowship has an intricate Policy to develop the next Young Leaders who are problem solvers in our community by upholding Social Impact and Development of Young Leaders in line with UN Principles. This motivated me to share in their vision to amplify my voice more by following them to achieve this goal. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Going Climate Action
Going Climate Action which I founded and lead at the University of Abuja is a School-wide Climate Advocacy Campaign aimed at Enlightenment Students and the Community about the Danger of Climate Change and the need to act in response to UN SDGs 13 Climate Action. I organised a Climate Change workshop to educate students and Communities near the Campus about Climate Change, the Dos and Don't as regard protecting our environment, to achieve NetZero If carbon, atop Deforestation and encourage them to continue the culture of planting more trees.
I use my Influence as UN Campus Ambassador to bring more students into this program, taught them more about UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
I used my pocket-money in to fund this program at the University of Abuja. And the Program Going Climate Action have impacted 500 University students and 50 Community-women and Men as my team continue on our Social impacts.
About the Millennium Fellow
Casmir Nnamani Sunday is a Young diplomat, who believes passionately in Social impact to community. He is the Medical Student of University of Abuja, Abuja Nigeria. He was born in Nigeria and currently studying at University of Abuja. He is apt in Global communication and Diplomacy.He is a Model United Nations Organiser and consultant in Nigeria, going many Universities and High Schools to train and simulates United Nations Activity amplifying the SDGs to the Delegates.Casmir Is Currently the Secretary -General of Abuja International Model United Nations AIMUN Nigeria..
He is also the UNDP Campus Ambassador in Nigeria, in may 2019 his Capacity as UN Campus Ambassador, Casmir Facilited the Diplmatic visit of 73rd President of United Nations General Assembly Ms Maria Garces Fernandez Espinoza to University of Abuja Nigeria to hold a Town Meeting with Students and School Management during her official two days Diplmatic Visit to Nigeria.
Casmir is a strong Climate and Sustainable Development Goals Advocate. He is the Founder of Going Climate Action in Nigeria.
He is delighted to be a Fellow of Millennium Campus Network MCN and United Nations Academic Impact UNAI class of 2022 to shaping Leadership and Social impact to more meaningful way by undertaking a Project in SDGs13 Climate Action.
