" Fear of stagnation of the fuel to my motivation, being part of the Millennium Fellowship will not only allow me to form the fundamental soft and hard skills, but also propel me forwards to strive for the changes that I'm passionate for. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: AgGen
Sell raw insects to pet stores ➡️ Produce premium high protein ethical pet food (where as current pet food heavily relies on poultry for protein additives) ➡️ look into other insects/algae to farm (such as mealworms that can be used to breakdown styrofoam) ➡️ expand into processing and selling protein additives to industry giants (such as gfuel and soylent) ➡️ expand into other industries (such as dyes or oils)
As of now, we've a rudimentary insect farm, processing up to 30,000 larvaes simultaneously and will be reaching out to local pet stores for pilot programs. We seek to use the capital we make from the pilot programs to expand our farm and gain enough capital or funding from investor to breach into the later stage of the roadmap and ultimately as human consumable protein additives.
If the project runs successful, the processed insects in the form of protein additives or oils will be used in everyday products that we aren't even aware of. Examples of such include Gfuel or soylent. While insects are already presently used in everyday lives, such as food dyes and organic essential oils, focusing on the upcycling component and embedding it as mass protein additives into human food systems as yet to be explored, which is where we seek to explore in AgGen.
