" Being part of a global community of Fellows working towards the UN SDGs is both empowering and humbling at the same time. I firmly believe in the power of youth-led change for a more equitable future. As part of the future generation, the Millennium Fellowship is an excellent opportunity to create meaningful social impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Article - I

Article - I is a legal literacy project. We believe that for everyone to exercise their rights, they need to be aware of their legal rights and responsibilities. This is especially true of vulnerable communities like refugees and migrants. We aim to bridge this information gap, by collaborating with student communities to make them more aware of the challenges faced by these communities and make information about legal rights and responsibilities accessible to people.

About the Millennium Fellow

Antara Basu is an undergraduate student of Politics and International Relations at University College London. Her passion for creating a more sustainable and just global community began with her journey as part of the United Nations (UN75) Campaign from India. She wants to explore how systemic and structural inequalities interact with racial and gendered identities. Her research interests also include identity politics, migration research and international conflict. Through her project, she aims to empower students via literacy about the issues facing vulnerable communities and encourage them to advocate for their rights.
