sentizing the widows and orphans on their rights to legally inherit and benefit from the estate of their late husbands. This is not the position in the remote areas of northern uganda where women especially widows without male heirs have suffered the burden of beats in the chauvinistic society.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ogwal David Kizito is an ambitious student. Having been raised from Northern uganda, he has witnessed alot of discrimination from the society where male chauvinism dominates. He grew up knowing that women have assumed the burden of beasts in the society. They are not allowed to own land, they're victims of inherence, they only makes sense if they have male first-borns.
Now with the strike of covid 19, women have swallowed regrets, their rights violated, mental health at stake, domestic violence took shape.
