" Creativity, time management, and adaptability drive my art and work. Being a Millennium Fellowship enhances these skills collaboratively. The skills I will gain from the Millennium Fellowship will make a social impact on school and art communities and will be more tangible and aligned with the UNAI principles and SDGs. That's why I am interested to be a Millennium Fellow. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Campus

Various canteens, cafeterias and street food vans on the Dhaka University campus mainly use plastic in serving food. Tea shops in TSC, the most populous area of the university, use plastic in serving tea. As a result, even though a lot of plastic is used on campus every day, it is not possible to ensure its recycling, which is having a huge impact on our environment.
Through my project I will be collaborating with various campus shop owners and university administrations through seminars or workshops to explain the environmental damage caused by the plastics they use. I will work at the policy level to ensure that the university administration introduces rules for the use of eco-friendly products like paper cups, jute bags instead of plastic.
The campus environment is changing as trees are being cut down on a large scale for various development works at the university. I will continue the tree planting program to build a green campus. In this project, I will organize seminars to create awareness among the students about climate change.I would encourage them to participate in the movement to build a green campus.
