Millennium Fellowship Project: Salud del Barrio
It is a social project focused on public health and disease prevention, contributing to conscious decision-making in the community. The closure of the community process ends when there is a link with a health center or health organization.
About the Millennium Fellow
Daniela Herrera is an undergraduate medical student at the University of Monterrey (UDEM), in Nuevo León, Mexico. Daniela is a proactive woman who is passionate about serving ohters and issues of social impact and social innovation. She strongly believes that health is a right that every human being should have regardless of their social class and should have access to comprehensive care and dignified treatment, with empathy and respect. That is why she, with accompaniment from the UDEM program "Formar para Transformar" (Form to transform), created a social project called "Salud del Barrio" (Neighborhood health), which seeks to promote the improvement of the quality of life through effective and conscious decision-making focused on healt, as well as its care and disease prevention.
