" I am excited to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship this year because of the personal an professional impact it has for those of us who feel called towards social projects. Likewise, it is exciting to deepen and reflect on the necessary knowledge that is needed to carry out projects with deep, lasting and sustainable impact in our communities. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Conociéndome y mi mundo

Given the current problem of misinformation present in the sexual and personal development of adolescents in vulnerable situations, the workshop Conociéndome y mi mundo, seeks to provide tools on comprehensive sexuality to adolescents with the aim of promoting social change in the exercise of their Sexual and Reproductive Rights.
The methodology consisted of a review of literature concerning the basics of sexuality, characteristics of adolescence in a situation of vulnerability, and current interventions in the field of sexual education at national and international level.
Likewise, demographic interviews were conducted regarding beliefs, habits, and level of knowledge in relation to sexuality. Through the application of the socio-constructivist educational current for the planning of the workshop and evaluations, the delivery of specific and appropriate contents to the recurring problems in the population of vulnerable adolescents of the José María Morelos 22 secondary school was achieved.
After analysis of the results subsequent to the implementation, it is concluded that the use of educational interventions focused on the self-knowledge of the participants is an important tool for the promotion and achievement of social change in the exercise of their Sexual and Reproductive Rights.
