Millennium Fellowship Project: Afterlives of Rape Survivors
The prominent impact that our project desires to aim at is affecting the afterlives of a rape victim to society. It carries a lot of intrepidities for a survivor to convey their experience; we want to help them by empowering them and delivering them the courage and position that they deserve in society, as it's been articulated sexual assault is NEVER the survivor’s fault.
No one invites to be sexually assaulted. We want to present the relevance to young minds, and we may operate with NGOs to do so. We want to educate them on how to treat rape victims equitably, so we'll show a module, hold a webinar, host Nukad Natak, screen the documentary, hold defence class sessions with college societies, hold a fundraiser, and organise fun activities like busting myths and stereotypes that women have long faced.
In complement to this, we will focus on topics like sex education, sex assault which are disregarded in our education system. We will also offer them helpline numbers and educate them on the legal process for justice since this will be effective in preventing rape.
