Millennium Fellowship Project: Gift a child bag or note books project
Worked on SDG4 ( quality education). I base my project in northern part of Nigeria sokoto state, where there is high level of school drop out and kids on the streets due poverty caused by bandits and Fulani herdsmen attack on the communities. Children are forced out of school because there parents are rendered poor, some parents are killed while many don't even engage in formal education.
I started my project by creating awareness on how important it is education is to the kids, I met with community and religious leaders. Also met some parents who knows the value of education. We begin to encourage students back to school.
Then I started my project titled " GIFT A CHILD BOOK OR BAG PROJECT".
people donated both textbooks and Note book. We shared the books to the students to get them fully in school activities. We also give them some lectures on personal hygiene, importance of education and how the can make the community great.
I was able to meet up to 350 students with note books and textbooks from different class levels.
