University of Ibadan College of Medicine | Ibadan, Nigeria | Advancing SDG 3 & UNAI 9
" It is my immense pleasure to be one of the selected Millennium Fellows amidst the over 30,000 applicants for the class 2022.
I am positive that being a member of Millennium Fellowship would create an enabling environment for me to access and harness relevant skills set and knowledge to further project my social impacts beyond the present reach. I also find this an opportunity to network with sound and innovative campus leaders across globe and get inspired towards achieving more feats in my area of interest.
In the last two and half years, I with my team's support run a virtual based health-focused initiative branded PhysioTalks Africa aimed at making the third UN sustainable development goal a reality in our little way by:
(1) providing the public with appropriate education centred on physical, social and mental welbeing.
(2) advancing the level of awareness of physiotherapy and its relevance in healthcare sector through our interactive series with resourceful Practitioners.
This project was birthed from a great displeasure at the debilitating consequences (increased mortality and morbidity rate) faced by lots of patients who show up in our health facilities at a chronic ill state largely due to mere ignorance or mis information as it regards their healthcare. "
