Millennium Fellowship Project: My Mental Health And Me

Nigerian students' perceptions, knowledge, and attitudes toward mental health are inadequate. In addition, there are few national health policies that address the threat of mental illness. The rising prevalence of mental illness among Nigerian students reflects a gap caused by negative attitudes and perceptions, a lack of knowledge, and neglect.
Our project aims to bridge the gap caused by a lack of awareness, false perceptions, and neglect of mental health among students in order to alleviate the rising indices and effects of mental health illness.
Capacity building, in our opinion, can help with this by providing students with the knowledge they need to understand and control the causes and effects of mental illness in their environment.
