" I want to represent my University [University of Mauritius] on this prestigious platform. My aim is to devote time into social work and working for the betterment of the environment, along with my team. We are working on SDG 14- life below water. With this project we aim to achieve clean lagoons and rivers in Mauritius - also so that our future generations benefit from it and takes inspiration from us. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Zilo

"Zilo" is a project reuniting scarce resources to maximise awareness on water resources and their value. Water being an essential element and Mauritius being surrounded by water, the millennium fellows of the University of Mauritius will be organising simple activities to promote the SDG 14 such as cleanups of water bodies, reducing marine pollution, raising awareness on the importance of mangroves, among others.
