Millennium Fellowship Project: Health Information and Drug abuse

HEALTH INFORMATION AND DRUG ABUSE.
This is a project i have been working on personally for a while now.

The aim is to provide authentic and up-to-date information on health and drug abuse through articles, health campaigns and outreaches in schools and other places.

Goal: To archive a society free from drug abuse and misuse with everyone having important health Information at their finger tips.

WHAT I HAVE DONE SO FAR.
1. 10th November: In collaboration with Miss PANS Uniben (Miss pharmaceutical association of Nigeria student) I went on an outreach program to UDSS (University Demonstration secondary school).

We went to educate the students on these major topics- Personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene, bullying, mental health and drug abuse. We were able to distribute note books to students, Sanity pads for the females in Junior secondary class and waste bin to the school.

2. I compiled an article from the global health e-Learning centre and the topic is- Antimicrobial resistance: Role of prescribers and dispensers.
The article covers the role of health providers in AMR, factors influencing practice behaviour of health providers and possible solutions.
I collaborated with Tripple A (Alliance against antimicrobial resistance) in doing this. They are to assist in the distribution of the E-flyer online.

The printed hard copy is also available on school notice boards in Faculty of Pharmacy, school of Medicine and basic medical sciences

I hope to continue doing more to achieve my goal. The Millenium Campus fellowship has given me the avenue to meet with like minds, learn more and connect with people the right persons.
