Millennium Fellowship Project: Glaucoma Awareness Campaign
Glaucoma awareness campaign involves sensitising the general public on the thief of sight,glaucoma. According to WHO,glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the world. The campaign will include telling the audience the risk factors, the prevalence and the importance of regular eye check-up , which is a key factor in early diagnosis and management of glaucoma.
About the Millennium Fellow
Adeniyi Sodiq Sunkanmi is an undergraduate student of department of Optometry at
the University of Benin, Nigeria. He was born in Ondo State,Nigeria. He is the content creator of The Retina Initiative, a non- governmental organization with the aim of preventing avoidable blindness in the community. He is an Eye Health advocate.
