About the Millennium Fellow
Glory Ansa Bassey would describe herself as an empathetic, knowledgeable, passionate, goal-oriented, ardent problem solver. who prides herself as a Girl/Boy-child Activist, Volunteer Youth/ Peer Educator with the Spotlight Initiative, a EU funded programme in Cross River State, Nigeria. She is a certified Community Organizer for action in the The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Network and as a Certified Peer Educator in Girls' Power Initiative (GPI), Calabar, Nigeria. These skills sets has provided her with the expertise to be able to make valuable contributions in impacting change in her Community. Thus, she sees this opportunityas a millennium fellow, as the perfect next step in her career to becoming a social change agent for young people in her immediate environment.
She is a resilient activist with keen interest in Social Change, Youth Leadership and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights of Youth and Women. She is 20 years old, a native and resident of Calabar, Cross River State. She is a level 100 student of the University of Calabar, studying Computer Science.
