" I'm excited to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship because of the many opportunities that the Millennium Fellowship offers which includes access to an world-class leadership training, and the opportunity to network with social impact leaders, Fellows and alum from all over the world. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The Physio Enformo Project
My project is called The Physio Enformo Project. Physio Enformo was derived from two words - Physiotherapy and Enformen which is an old English word derived from informo (a latin word meaning "to train, instruct, form").
This project is concerned about enhancing the public awareness level on the physiotherapy profession, educating students (on campus and soon-to-be secondary school leavers) on the role of physical therapy in healthcare delivery systems, how they can utilise knowledge of basic physical therapy techniques to promote wellbeing and how they (students) can access emergency physical therapy services.
About the Millennium Fellow
God'sLove-Divine Ngbechukwuyem is an introspective, charismatic young man with an inclusive leadership style. Currently a second year student of Physiotherapy at the University of Calabar, God'sLove-Divine is passionate about strengthening community health systems and increasing access to physical therapy opportunities.
Being born into a low income middle-class family has exposed him to the lack of opportunities young people face and which, for most, includes access to educational and literary materials, mentorship and a goal-oriented peer network. As the first person in his family to attend college, he actively volunteers to ensure that these opportunities reach the communities where they are most needed.
