Millennium Fellowship Project: First Aid & Me; Yes2life!
First Aid and Me (FAME) project is an innovative project by Millennium Fellows ; Grace Mmesomachi Oji and Okechukwu Henry. This project is aimed at bridging First Aid Knowledge gap in school Children. It will educate school children on what to do in emergency situations, correctly perform resuscitation and debunking common first aid misconceptions. While building self efficacy in them, the project events will be infused with short films, drug abuse prevention campaigns, and educating ice breakers, as well as open discussions on issues affecting Adolescents.
About the Millennium Fellow
Henry Okechukwu is a 400 level Medical Laboratory Science Student at the University of Calabar, Cross River State. Henry, an indigene of Abia State, Nigeria is a smart, hardworking young man who is passionate about making positive impact wherever he finds himself.
As an advocate of SDG 1 &3, Henry is member of many Non Profit Organizations within the School community and outside like 100k Club, Enactus Calabar, etc. where he actively participates in the fields of Health advocacy, leadership, entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Henry believes in the value of hard work and determination. He believes that every success gotten in life doesn’t just happen by chance or luck and this has made him an Awardee of the 2020 Bloodless Medicine and Surgery Quiz Competition, Sen. T.A Orji Scholarship amongst others.
Henry aspires to be a Pace-setter and Inspirational leader for young people and he hopes that through advocacy projects in health, tech, entrepreneurship, leadership, etc. He would be able to touch lives positively and inspire others to do same.
