Millennium Fellowship Project: Happy Mind Initiative
Happy Mind Initiative is a mental health program with focus on depression. In recent times, depression have proven to be one of the major causes of suicidal thoughts in the lives of individuals. Most people are unaware of the fact that depression is a medical illness that can be triggered by emotions, induced by some medications, or transferred by hereditary. This project aims to help strengthen the development and maintenance of a healthy mindset among young adults and to advocate for mental wellness.
During the Millennium Fellowship period which is slated to run from August through December 2022, Happy Mind Initiative will host a minimum of four online events. The goal of Happy Mind Initiative is that 50-100 more people become mentally aware and well enlightened in maintaining this aspect of their lives.
In order to achieve this, Happy Mind Initiative has mapped out some strategies, these strategies being developed are dependent on the results of the initial assessments which will include a mix of carrying out awareness programs on mental health and pre-surveys to better understand the target audience. Other strategies involved include but not limited to;
