Millennium Fellowship Project: Gifted Hands Outreach

My project is one I hope to begin in Secondary Schools in Nigeria. Many of my female friends while growing up, had to stop schooling for so many reasons, the main reasons being that they wanted their brother(s) to school first before them They didn't complete their education because they were told by people that women don't need education.
My project is borne out of the desire to remove this mindset in the minds of women and make them know that they are as important as their male counterparts. I plan on going to Secondary Schools with my team, and talk to the students, especially the female students, about the importance of education.
I plan on letting them know that in our world today, education is a must have.
I plan on giving them information and enlightening them on reasons why education is a necessity.
