Millennium Fellowship Project: AwakeGirl Initiative

AwakeGirl initiative is a project led by Millennium Fellow Kosisochukwu Azoro. The initiative tackles Gender-based violence through awareness creation and medical intervention. During the Millennium Fellowship , project a minimum of 2 virtual events which will be a combination of webinars, round table discussions and awareness creation workshops. A reach of about 300 young girls across all events is the target.

About the Millennium Fellow

Kosisochukwu Azoro is a bright and driven penultimate student of Medical Laboratory Sciences. She was born in Lagos, Nigeria and is currently studying at University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. Kosi is passionate about the education and reformation of the Girl Child. She has been involved in girl and women development projects and through this project, she hopes to help eradicate abuse and gender based violence as well as help victims heal and become whole individuals.
