" Little drops of water make a river', I strongly believe this. Being a Millennium Fellow will give me a voice that'll amplify the voice of others. I believe that I'll be able to relate with people of like minds and together we can come up with solutions that'll make a difference in our society. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Break the Chain, Leave no one Behind

BREAK THE CHAIN: LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND, is a group project that was born out of a union of different individual projects. This project identifies certain areas of limitations that have kept our communities from progressing and attempts to liberate our people from these bounds. This project has identified problems; Absence of Quality education, lack of proper healthcare awareness, poor and segregation gender equality awareness, and poor environmental hygiene.

The project is to be executed in two phases; first as an awareness and advocacy visit to two secondary schools, and second, health awareness and medical outreach to a selected community.

About the Millennium Fellow

Adeniyi Joy Oreoluwa is a first year medical student at the University of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
Born and raised in Nigeria, she is passionate about maintaining a clean and healthy environment which goes a long was in preventing the spread of infectious diseases. She plans to make a difference one step at a time by educating locals on the importance of personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness and by raising funds to provide the necessary materials they'd need. She strongly believes that these seemingly small steps will lead to a much needed change.
