" I am passionate and committed to ensuring every Nigerian
have access to quality and accessible
Oral healthcare without incurring catastrophic
expenditure particularly those in rural areas, paediatrics and geriatrics inclusive. Also, driven by my burning
passion to improve the health of people in my community and in my own way of challenging the status quo, I have coordinated, facilitated and participated in several community health outreaches. I also volunteer for a number of NGOs just for the love and passion I have for the health of the People. Millennium Fellowship gives me such a huge platform to take my creativity, leadership and social impact goals of 'One health' to another level of relevance. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Oral Health for All

Good Oral health is only but a wish for most persons living within this part of the world as Oral health Care is not yet captured in Primary health Care which has resulted in detrimental effects on the overall health of people within sub Saharan Africa with the region having the highest incidence of Cancrum Oris (NOMA disease), Dental Caries, periodontal diseases, Oral Cancer, Ludwig angina to mention but a few, which are preventable by practicing good oral hygiene, having regular dental checkups and seeking prompt treatment for tooth and mouth infections.
Poor oral health is associated with other chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease and good oral care is not readily available as people still make use of chewing sticks (Neem plant Stick) and other crude means with its attendant gross effects which have harmed and continue to jeopardize the overall health.
ORAL HEALTH FOR ALL will reduce the incidence of Oral & systemic disease by improving the awareness, attitude and practice of good Oral health through Oral health Campaigns, Education and Outreaches plus distribution of Oral Care Products to tackle some oral health conditions by necessary interventions in collaboration with relevant organizations especially in Jos and its environs as well as advocating for quality water for persons living on unhealthy water with high fluoride content, as
water affects teeth and bone quality.
