Millennium Fellowship Project: Jos Zero Hepatitis
Jos Zero Hepatitis is a Hepatitis Advocacy and intervention program for a low-income community in Jos North, Plateau State, Nigeria.
It entailed:
1. A community outreach which reached out to 50+ community members. These people were educated on Hepatitis and given a free Hepatitis B test(to help know their status) and those who tested negative were vaccinated.
2. A secondary school advocacy outreach. 100+ secondary school students were educated on what Hepatitis is, its causes, prevention and treatment.
About the Millennium Fellow
Promise Maduabuch Uchegbu is a bright, globally competitive Pharmacy student at the university of Jos. He was born in Nigeria, resides in Nigeria and study in Nigeria. Promise has always learned that knowledge must not only be learned but be used to benefit human kind. This has been his inspiration and driving force towards a better planet.
