" I am very passionate about the right to Quality Education. I believe there is so potential in anyone who has the right to get educated. I am where I am today because someone believe in my dreams and aspirations and I would love to be one those who believe in the dreams of other children by paving ways for them to jumpstart their education. The skills I gain from the Millennium Fellowship would make my social impact align with the SDGs. I am excited to increase my competence and creativity by learning new ways of implementation. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Bright School Achievers Program
Education is the most powerful impact which can be used to change the world. I have
always imagined what would be the fate of children who were denied the privilege to
be educated. To be part of something great, I joined the Sustainable Development
Advocates (SDA) on campus to implement a program that ensure that children in the
slum area of Ilaje in Lagos state were educated.
Our goal is to establish a free academic institute (Kindergarten, primary and secondary
school) to teach at least 100 students in this community subjects like mathematics,
English, civic-education, in accordance with goal 4 of SDGs and establish them with
skills needed to thrive. We hope to go further as time goes on.
Sustainable Development Advocates is a club on campus whose aim is to create
awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals on campus. Along with other
volunteers we gathered resources such as venue and writing materials. We hope to
partner with other organization to ensure the children have the best education even
beyond their current state.
