" Empathy welcomes people to shift from their individual experiences and about how those they interact with might feel.
Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will help to improve my skills on empathetic leadership.
The Millennium Fellowship will give me the ability to make the necessary social impact about mental health awareness in my university and create more awareness about mental health in the society at large .
I am excited and incredibly honored to begin my journey towards making the world a better place. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Students Mental Health Advocates

Students Mental Health Advocates is a platform birthed out of the need to attend to the mental health of students within the university community. WHO estimates that fewer than 10 percent of mentally ill Nigerians have access to the care they need. This also applies to students within the campus community. Quite a several students within
the community have gone through one mental illness or the other but have no one they could speak up to or no campus student group they could express themselves to. SMA comes to fill the gap. The Students Mental health advocates is dedicated to educating, providing support and creating awareness on the mental health of students within the university community.
