" "A passion for books and literature has remained a driving force in many of my achievements, and I recognize the fact that this could be a powerful force if introduced into the life of young people. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship provides a network of positively ambitious, young people who are committed to achieving social progress and this will greatly magnify my efforts toward promoting Child Literacy. I am excited to be part of a community that is advancing United Nations Sustainable Goals and global progress." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: One Book, One Child
I organized a book drive in collaboration with some of my fellow Fellows.
About the Millennium Fellow
Oyetunde Oyedeji Oluwatimileyin is a young, and driven student of Psychology at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He was born in Lagos and has lived there all his life. From his high school days, he has been an active member of the Sustainable Development Goals Club. Up until now, he has mostly focused on environmental sustainability but has now decided to pay more attention to Child Literacy. He believes that the key to changing the paradigm of any society lies in the educational structures that exist in such a society. Starting from the city of Lagos, he hopes to contribute to Child Literacy by getting books to as many young people as he can. In this way, he hopes to reduce world illiteracy; one city at a time, one child at a time.
