Millennium Fellowship Project: Re-educate

Re-educate is a non-profit organization that advances SDG 4 and is on a journey of correcting the harmful effect of COVID-19 on primary school education. It focuses on vulnerable children who did not have access to remote learning during the pandemic. These are children who undergo learning in public schools in Lagos, Nigeria. Due to the poor level of education in these schools, they do not offer virtual learning to their students.
Re-educate offers one on one teaching to primary school students from primary 1-6. After a couple of months they are then given standardized tests for their level bringing them back to reading proficiency. This project focuses on children living in the slums and are vulnerable to child marriage and child labor.
