" I am excited to be selected as a Millennium Fellow because I was rejected in 2019, 2020 and 2021. However, this 3 failed attempts shaped how I presented myself in the 2022 application.

Service to humanity is the best work of life which is why I give all I have, to serve. This is what is fueling my zeal to help humanity in any way I can. I have served in various capacity and I am still serving.

This opportunity will be a stepping ground for me as a social worker and it will also help me with the acquisition of relevant skills and experiences in my social impact
work. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Slumkids Mindshift

Slumkids Mindshift project is geared towards empowering young students to become problem solvers, not problem avoiders; equipping them with the necessary tools to change themselves and go beyond limitations in their environment and change their society. Because how successful they will become is based on how they handle problems.
The plan is to visit primary and secondary schools with learning materials like notebooks, school bags, and textbooks.
We will host training session about employability skills and entrepreneurial skills after we have visited their schools and also we will raise $500 to sponsor the students who need to further their education but do not have the money to do so.
